Pretty Boy

Digital menu boards play a central role in this vision.

More than just a way to display products, they are a key ingredient in shaping the restaurant atmosphere and bringing the Pretty Boy brand to life.

At the heart of Pretty Boy’s premium street food concept is a simple promise: high-quality Finnish chicken, bold international flavors, and sauces crafted from fresh ingredients using the brand’s own recipes.

With nine restaurants across the Helsinki metropolitan area, Pretty Boy has built its reputation on delivering not just great food, but a standout customer experience. As the brand has grown, so too has its focus on how that experience is communicated in-store – ensuring every customer interaction reflects the energy, quality and personality of the brand.

Digital menu boards play a central role in this vision. More than just a way to display products, they are a key ingredient in shaping the restaurant atmosphere and bringing the Pretty Boy brand to life.

The partnership between ZetaDisplay and Pretty Boy began with the installation of the first digital menu boards at the Kamppi restaurant in Helsinki – laying the foundation for a scalable, future-ready in-store communication strategy.

Challenges

As Pretty Boy expanded, it became clear that its existing communication tools were limiting its potential. Traditional printed menus and static posters couldn’t keep pace with a dynamic, fast-evolving menu or support the brand’s ambition to create a visually compelling in-store experience.

The team wanted to better showcase the diversity of its offering, highlight new product launches, and elevate the overall look and feel of its restaurants. At the same time, they needed a more agile way to manage campaigns and ensure consistency across all locations.

The goals were to:

  • create a consistent digital customer experience across all locations
  • streamline the management of campaigns and product communication
  • elevate the brand’s visual identity to a new level

Solution

To support Pretty Boy’s ambitions, ZetaDisplay designed and delivered a comprehensive digital menu board solution tailored to the brand’s needs.

At the core of the solution is Engage CMS, enabling the team to manage and update content in real time across all restaurants. This centralized platform provides the flexibility to roll out campaigns instantly, while also allowing for location-specific customization where needed.

The solution also included the installation of high-quality digital signage displays, carefully positioned to maximize visibility and impact within each restaurant’s environment.

Together, this created a seamless and scalable digital ecosystem – transforming menu boards into a powerful communication channel that supports both operational efficiency and brand storytelling.

Working with ZetaDisplay has been smooth and professional from the very beginning.
They immediately understood what we wanted to communicate as a brand and brought it to life through digital displays.Managing content is now easy and fast, and the result looks exactly how Pretty Boy should look – bold, energetic and high-quality.

Benefits

Since implementing the solution, Pretty Boy has transformed how it communicates with customers in-store.

Menus and campaigns are now fully dynamic, allowing updates to be made instantly across all locations. This ensures that content is always accurate, relevant, and aligned with current promotions.

The enhanced visual presentation has elevated the overall customer experience, using bold, engaging content to attract attention and reinforce the brand’s identity.

Operationally, the shift to digital has reduced the need for printed materials and manual updates, saving both time and resources while improving efficiency across the business.

Crucially, the menu’s improved visibility and presentation has also supported upselling and increased campaign effectiveness, helping to drive sales while maintaining a premium brand feel.
