Flint is a vibrant cultural meeting place in Amersfoort in the Netherlands, where thousands of visitors enjoy theatre, cabaret, music and dance performances every year. In collaboration with ZetaDisplay, Flint has chosen a smart digital signage solution that makes its programme visible, inspires visitors, and simplifies communication in and around the theatre. Thanks to dynamic screens and automated content, the theatre’s diverse programme is presented in an attractive and efficient way.
Challenge
With a constantly changing programme, Flint faced the challenge of always keeping visitors up to date while also promoting new performances. By moving away from printed posters and opting for a digital solution, Flint can better respond to the interests of its audience. For example, when visitors attend a cabaret performance, it becomes an ideal moment to inspire them with other cabaret shows or similar performances.
The theatre also needed a way to visibly thank donors and engage new ones. In addition, the building is regularly used for conferences and events, creating a need for flexible communication for external organisations and visitors.
Solution
ZetaDisplay implemented an integrated digital signage solution fully aligned with the dynamic nature of the theatre.
- Automated programming: Through templates linked to Flint’s scheduling system, performances are automatically displayed on screens. This ensures the latest programme is always visible without manual updates.
- Targeted promotion by genre: Content can be tailored to the audience present. Visitors attending a cabaret show, for example, see other cabaret or similar performances that may interest them.
- Interactive sponsor wall: A digital sponsor wall has been installed in the theatre, visibly thanking donors. Visitors can become donors themselves via a QR code and contribute directly to the theatre.
- Support for conferences and events: As Flint is also a popular conference venue, organisations can easily share information on the screens, such as programmes, directions or welcome messages.
- User-friendly content management: Through the Engage CMS, multiple employees can easily update or schedule content whenever needed.
Visibility on the exterior: A prominent screen on the outside of the building attracts the attention of passers-by and inspires them with the theatre’s current programme.
