Transforming Retail Innovation
Epicenter Store is a 1,000 sqm living shop lab where tomorrow’s retail experiences are prototyped in real-time. Situated in the heart of Stockholm’s innovation district, it combines retail, coworking, showrooms and event space in a dynamic ecosystem for experimentation.
Challenges
Epicenter Store was designed to serve as a live lab for testing the future of retail, operating as an ever-evolving space requiring flexible infrastructure and a seamless digital backbone. With multiple brands, events and experiences running in parallel, the challenge was to build a space that could adapt and scale on demand.
- Creating a modular environment that supports rotating brand experiences and retail formats.
- Integrating digital signage across a mixed-use space including co-working, events and showrooms.
- Providing easy-to-use tools for multiple stakeholders to update content independently and instantly.
Solution
To deliver a fully integrated digital signage environment to match the ambition of Epicenter’s hybrid space, Ubiq (now part of ZetaDisplay) developed a fully integrated digital signage environment. The system allows partner brands to customise and control their own content across a range of screens and formats.
- Over 25 m² of flexible LED surfaces including a 10 m² main event screen.
- A distributed CMS built by Ubiq, enabling dynamic content management for multiple users.
- Bespoke motion graphics and immersive content created to amplify the Epicenter brand.
