Seasonal Digital Signage enhances customer experience at DAKA Sport & Lifestyle 

With 17 stores throughout the Netherlands and the largest ski and snowboard department in the country, DAKA is a leading sports and lifestyle retailer. In collaboration with ZetaDisplay, DAKA Sport & Lifestyle has equipped its stores with a smart digital signage solution that enriches the customer journey. By displaying dynamic and seasonal content, customers are inspired, guided, and enticed during their store visit. 

Challenge

As a full-service sports retailer, DAKA Sport & Lifestyle wants to offer customers not only the widest range of products, but also a responsive and elevated shopping experience. 

An important issue was how campaigns, promotions, and brand stories could be presented consistently and up-to-date in all branches, without creating extra work for store staff.  

In addition, DAKA Sport & Lifestyle wanted the flexibility to easily adapt content to the season and specific target groups – from summer sports like tennis and running, to large-scale winter sports campaigns. The signage also had to help guide customers through the store and draw them to the right areas.

Solution

ZetaDisplay created a centrally controlled digital signage solution that was fully integrated into the in-store experience.

Seasonal campaigns

Displays show dynamic content tailored to the sports season. In the summer, images and promotions around running, tennis, and hockey inspire, while in the winter, the focus shifts to skiing and snowboarding. 

Central content management

All screens are controlled from the head office via our user-friendly CMS Engage. This frees up store staff from manually adjusting posters or displays, allowing them to fully focus on the customer. 

Informative and engaging content

In addition to product campaigns, loyalty programs, discounts, and brand promotions are also communicated. Strategically placed screens create additional visual appeal and guide customers to specific areas within the store.
